The BMW Z5
is a car that is hoping to hit the showrooms by 2017. The Z5 will have a font
mounted engine but will be more centrally mounted in the car for better weight
distribution across the axles.
The car is
going to be made with lightweight materials with a target weight for 3300lbs.
The Z5 will be a 2.0 litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a three stage
power system.
The
engine will house a ZF 6-speed manual gearbox, or an 8-speed automatic.
There are rumours going around that there could be an Z5M
coming out soon after which would contain a 425-hp turbo six, which is
currently being housed, under the bonnet of the new 2015 M3 and M4.
