BMW have denied for years and years that there would be an X1 M sport car. As it stands at the moment they haven’t confirmed that there will be one
but they failed to deny the recent rumours of the M performance X1.
According to Jörg
Bartels, the M performance car sales boss; BMW are constantly
looking through the model ranges to see which vehicles fit their strategy and
can therefore be developed into a performance car (M Sport).
“I will say again what the boss of
BMW M has stated in the past – all BMWs are eligible for an M model. We will
see how Audi and Mercedes go with that.” This is what Bartels had to say about
the concept of a BMW X1M.
A performance version of the X1
would compete directly with the Audi RS Q3 and Mercedes-Benz GLA45 AMG. So,
