The new Mini
John Cooper Works will be launched at the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. The JCW model
will be pulled along by an all-new 2.0 litre turbocharged four-cylinder
direct-injection engine, which will generate around 230bhp and about 258 lb-ft
of torque.
The new 2.0
litre engine is replacing the old turbocharged 1.6-litre four-cylinder
direct-injection unit, which produces 215bhp.
The new Mini John Cooper Works will feature a new six-speed manual or six-speed
automatic gearbox, which will also be installed in the new Mini Cooper S
hatchback.
It’s fair to
say that we, at big motoring world, can’t wait to get our hands on one.
