Artist from BMW gives us a futuristic view - a BMW i8 with
four-doors. The rendered i8 is based off the production model and comes with
rear suicide doors as seen on the BMW i3 Megacity.
The photo shopped i8
is clearly just an imaginary car as BMW has no intention to unveil a four-door
model in the future. A potential i9 car may appear in the future, but
details are scarce at this point in time.
BMW went on sale
this summer and uses a plug-in hybrid system consisting of a turbocharged
three-cylinder BMW TwinPower Turbo petrol engine and BMW eDrive technology in
the form of an electric drive system.
The 2014 BMW i8 has a base price of $135,700 but some
dealers are asking as much as $100,000 over the MSRP. A recent one-off
BMW i8 sold for $825,000 in
Pebble Beach.
